The Proton 1250A™ completely destroys CD and DVD optical media with hi-pressure indentation that destroys the optical plane and renders it unrecoverable. An automatic feeder holds 200 CD, DVD or Blu-Ray disks and processes 1000 per hour, with the label in either direction. The unit has a delay circuit that allows the disintegrator to run 5 minutes after the front panel power switch is turned "Off", thereby insuring that the disintegrator clears all debris prior to shutdown. The Proton 1250 series is on the NSA Evaluated Products List and meets all NIST and DOD guidelines for electronic data disposal.
