The T-4 Degausser, at 40,000 Gauss, offers patented new degaussing technology to provide the highest rated gauss rating on the market today: an Effective Magnetic Field (EMF) of 4 Tesla or 40,000 gauss. The degausser’s user-friendly input system provides effortless loading of various sized hard drives and tape media without the need for adapters. Simply slide the hard drive or tape cartridge into the opening, push the start button, and it emerges completely erased. As the very high gauss rating is several times stronger than the read/write heads in a hard drive or tape drive, this Degausser is more efficient and much faster than software-based erasure programs. Since it does not rely on software, the T-4 High Energy Degausser also has the ability to erase failed or damaged hard drives and tapes, completely and permanently, regardless of the operating system.
